"Our second cassette release from Être Ensemble, after 2023’s CLOSE / SPACE. Call it a follow-up, call it a lockdown/grief album; work on Sans Toi (named after the song from Agnès Varda’s 1962 film Cléo de 5 à 7) began after CLOSE and before SPACE, and revolved around recording sessions with close collaborators at the Montreal microcinema/studio La Lumière Collective, including Sarah Pagé, N NAO, Maya Kuroki, Ida Toninato, and Anette Zénith. Also to be found are two Mercury Tracer samples as a nod to and continuation of CLOSE. Here are the results, naked in the heart of winter."
