"BIRGは、イギリスでの3公演に合わせてリリースされた同名ホワイトレーベル12インチ（限定100部）により、ポストインダストリアル・サウンドの連続体における重要な一端を刻んだ。purge.xxxよりリリースされた本作は、単独の記録物であると同時に、今後発売予定のより野心的なヴァイナル・ボックスセット『Purrrrrj050』への序章としての役割も担っている。手作業で制作され個別にナンバリングされた本プレスは、音響的挑発だけでなく、作品そのものの永続的な文化的価値へのグループのこだわりを再確認させる。2025年11月にロンドン、ブリストル、カーディフの各会場で行われる画期的な公演と時期を同じくするこの姿勢は、特に共鳴を呼ぶものだ。
この共同体の背景には、ダブモルフォロジー（トレバー・マシソンとゲイリー・スチュワート）、クライン、ンキシ、コドウォ・エシュンらによる新作を収録する予定のボックスセットが示すように、複雑に絡み合った芸術的系譜と感性が存在する。音響インスタレーションやダブエクスペリメンタリズムからディアスポラ的エレクトロニクス、批判理論に至るルーツを持つ本プロジェクトは、研究ユニット、扇動的集団、パフォーマンス集団という三つの性質を併せ持つハイブリッドな領域に存在する。この初のヴァイナル作品は、それらの交錯するエネルギーを簡潔でありながら謎めいた記録へと凝縮し、教条的な完結よりも開放的な関与を志向する。一方、ホワイトレーベルの美学は、アンダーグラウンド伝達の遺産を想起させる——その価値が希少性、プロセス、商品化への抵抗によってこそ蓄積されるオブジェクトである。
