"Finally getting a vinyl re-release is Frank & Tony’s seminal work with breakout duo Bob Moses. Back in 2012 Francis Harris and Anthony Collins (Frank & Tony) worked with their fellow New Yorkers before they went on to sign to Domino and blow up globally.
The four track EP kicks off with Elea - a deep and thoughtful collaboration utilizing Frank & Tony’s slick production with understated vocals. Next up on the A side is Holding On, featuring iconically Bob Moses vocals atop of a low-key bumping groove. There’s also washes of brass that add a new dimension to the track. Flipping over to the B side, Holy for Her (which also appeared back in 2012), is a densely wound, hypnotic rhythm, providing the basis for Tom Howie and Jim Vallance to do their special thing. Winding things up, Marigold is another early classic from the same period - a dubbed-out groove with sharp percussion and a killer, signature vocal. An essential release capturing a vital period in both outfits' development."

Zimoun spent many sessions over a few years exploring and recording the instrument and recounts:\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003e“I have had the wonderful opportunity to engage regularly and over a longer period with the ‘Wind-Dynamic Organ, Prototype III’—a truly outstanding and marvellous instrument developed by Daniel Glaus and his team. In contrast to a conventional organ, wind pressure and air volume per pipe can be actively, continuously, and dynamically shaped: the tone is therefore not merely switched on and off, but modulated while it is sounding. This makes it possible to work with dynamic sound evolutions, to generate sounds at the boundary regions of the actual tones, or to integrate pure air noises and shimmering rustles. The key travel changes the attack of the tone, allowing seamless shifts from clearly accented figures to\u003cspan class=\"bcTruncateMore\"\u003e fused bands of sound without changing stops. In this way, airy, noise-tonal textures and flickering, oscillating overtone clouds can emerge that respond to the current wind pressure.”\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eBased solely on the Wind Dynamic Organ, the two albums Wind Dynamic Organ, One \u0026amp; Two (Zimoun) and Wind Dynamic Organ, Deviations (Taylor Deupree \u0026amp; Zimoun) were created. The two Zimoun solo compositions are shaped by pure, slowly swelling overlays of breathing, warm organ sounds and the long reverberation produced by the church spaces.
