" Remember Ecstatic Duo started as a love letter between Mike Sharp (Synths, Keys) and Kristine Reaume (Flutes) to all of the music they've brought out of one another. RED serves as a proving ground and playground for the textures they explore in various collaborations with others.

On their second duo album, Sugar Maple, the conversation is narrowed and given clarity. It's the glance inside the blur of the background, past everything else, remaining focused on the person right in front of you. The music is not a healing balm for the world around us, it is the vessel carrying us through it. This cosmic understanding is not external. This music is each other."
