"この春、Bamboo Showsに新たなアーティストApulati Bienが加わる。ブリュッセルを拠点とするこの作曲家は、『Audiovisual Yonk』を通じて、かつて映画や演劇のために描かれたが放棄されていたスケッチを集め、それらをメキシコシティの夜の郊外を舞台にしたダークなSF映画の架空のサウンドトラックへと再構築している。

5枚目のLPにおいて、Apulati Bienはデジタルなメランコリアと映画的な思索に深く沈み込み、どこか見覚えのあるような楽器、老朽化したコンピューターの最期の息遣い、そして朽ち果てた電磁干渉を織り交ぜて、質感豊かな世界を構築している。彷徨う魂たちは、アイデンティティを剥ぎ取られた肉体の殻の上を漂い、次元の間で電話が鳴り響く中、音楽は底知れぬ内なる湖から遠く離れた星座へと引き出されていく。

『Audiovisual Yonk』は、アンビエント・エレクトロニカ、インターネット時代のトリップホップ、そしてレフトフィールドの不気味さを、奇妙で落ち着きのない優雅さをもって巡っていく。"

"A new figure joins Bamboo Shows this spring: Apulati Bien. Through “Audiovisual Yonk”, the Brussels-based composer gathers abandoned sketches once intended for cinema and theatre, reworking them into the imaginary soundtrack of a dark sci-fi film set in Mexico City’s nocturnal outskirts.

On his fifth LP, Apulati Bien sinks into digital melancholia and cinematic contemplation, building a deeply textural world out of fake-familiar instruments, ageing computers’ death rattle and decayed electromagnetic interference. Wandering souls drift across flesh shells stripped of identity, while phones ring between dimensions, pulling the music from a bottomless inner lake to distant constellations."
