フランスの音響レーベルAposiopèse諸作を入荷しました。

本作は、レーベルオーナーThomas Tillyが2026年6月にリリースしたCDです。

コロンビアに生息する鳥アブラヨタカをテーマにした4曲を収録。ライナーノーツ付属。デジパック、シュリンク仕様です。

以下、作家本人による解説です。

"理想化された自然の象徴としての鳥のイメージ、そして美しく正しい音を表すその「音楽」は、私にとっては「グアチャロたちが発する恐ろしい騒音」とは矛盾しているように思える。種を犠牲にして分類群――この場合は生態学的トーテムの地位にまで高められた鳥類（aves）――を優先することは、環境を聴くという観点において、近代ロマン主義の主要な二元論を永続させる傾向がある。グアチャロは、コウモリと同様に、熱帯林やそこから響き渡るメロディアスな歌声といった歴史的な構築物とはほとんど関係のない、独自の環境に適応することで、独自のコミュニケーションやナビゲーションの方法を編み出してきた。

ここで紹介する4つの録音は、この現象を聴くという実際の過程を追っている。洞窟内での社会的な鳴き声から始まり、数千羽の鳥が奇妙な渦巻くような動きで集まり、そこから導きの信号だけが発せられる場面で終わる。これらは編集も加工も施されず、単にそれらが生み出す形態や美的特質のために提示されている――そして、いつの日かこれらが記録資料となるかもしれない。

これらのフォノグラフィーと並行して、音素やエコーロケーション信号に対する一連の「分析」が編集され、各楽曲の間にミックスされている。
これらの断片は、音源録音の残留物である。音楽制作で頻繁に使用されるサウンドクリーニングソフトによって、不要な周波数やデジタルオーディオ符号化のアーティファクト（ノイズ）と見なされた信号の一部だ。ここでは、ネガフィルムのように、このノイズのみが保持され、私のフィールドレコーディングと関連付けられている。"

From the artist:

"The imagery of the bird as a symbol of an idealised nature, and its "music" as a representation of the beautiful and right sound, seem to me to be inconsistent with the “horrible noise made by the Guacharos”. To prioritise the class—in this case the aves, elevated to the status of an ecological totem—at the expense of the species, tends to perpetuate the major dualisms of modern Romanticism in the way of listening to environments. The Guacharos have developed their own mode of communication and navigation, in the same way as bats, by adapting to a unique context that has little to do with the historical constructs associated with tropical forests and the melodious songs that emanate from them.

The four recordings featured here follow the actual progression of listening to the phenomenon. They begin with the social calls in the caves and end with the gathering of several thousand birds in a strange whirling movement, from which only guiding signals emanate. These are presented without editing nor processing, simply for the forms and aesthetic qualities they generate—and perhaps one day they may become documentation.

Alongside these phonographies, a series of ‘analyses’ of the phonemes and echolocation signals is edited and mixed between the pieces.
These fragments are residues of the sound recordings; parts of the signal regarded by sound-cleaning software—a tool frequently used in music production—as unwanted frequencies and artefacts of digital audio coding (noise). Here, only this noise is kept, like a negative, and placed in relation to my field recordings."
