"Kurpark is a freshly woven spool of technicolor silk, recorded on location at the health spa park of the same name in Bad Wimpfen, Germany.

Günter Schlienz has floated through various strains of electronic etherealism for more than a dozen years, touching down consistently on the most luminary of labels. We welcome the artist here with open arms, and are excited to present this latest work of prismatic cotton swab sound.

The heavenly music carries Schlienz' distinct sensibilities, shifting with an acute accuracy and expressing the artist's simultaneous sensitivity to both texture and movement, with each transparent detail laid clearly in focus. This work is inspired by Nature and brings feelings of serene connection, with the subtle touch of field recordings delivering a delicate recognition of the interrelation between humanity and planet Earth.

Teresa Smolnik appears on the longform track "Pme", with her soft spoken vocals in the German language, gently guiding our journey - goosebumps guaranteed."

A somnambulant atmosphere which seems to teeter as if it could explode and shatter at any moment, but doesn’t.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eIn the course of the 9 tracks on this remarkable and unique album we are presented with a perfectly considered, fastidiously composed and produced song cycle.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eOther points of reference to my ears might be the chilly spoken words of Little Annie as she had a universe of minimal sound simmering beneath breathy vocals, or the cool, austere delivery of Lucrecia Dalt as well the stoic and aloof quiet precision of The Young Marble Giants and the fragility of Virgina Astley, also comes to mind as does Luciano Cilio which seems a present influence or inspiration in terms of the quietness, space and unusual compositional choices in juxtapositions of instrumentation and atmosphere.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eOn this recording Aperture are abetted by some very strong collaborators: Drummer\/percussionist Andrea Belfi who in this instance deploys a spacious atmospheric free-flow of reduced accents and insinuated beats rather than the frenetic synchronicity he is known for. This airy approach bodes with the minimalistic and considered sparse tonal flow of Alf Brooks’ reduced bass and subtle electronics. Accented by somber piano passages, yearning harmonium drones and unidentified quiet clatter of light atmospheric noise and the overall low tempo of the suite, it is as sparse and hushed as a Feldman piece by the end of the second side of the LP incorporating what seems like domestic sound sources in a natural space with the flute of collaborator Martina Brandorff chiming in some otherworldly lyricism. Yet while the champion of hyperrealism, Noah Creshevsky, describes his music as being written in a language we already understand (realism) yet in an exaggerated manner (hyper) - I have to add that things on this album do not sound exaggerated at all. Moreover, i have the feeling that somehow on this work, Jan is trying to underwhelm us. In the best possible way. Because clouds float trough and dissolve. Thus instead of hyperrealism, is Jan maybe speaking to us in a certain Serenerealism? Listening to Halki pilvien makes time non-directional. The music seems to be designed to be played over and over again. This music has no direct impact like one can experience at a punk show, or at a classical music concert. This music is not that one\u003cspan class=\"bcTruncateMore\"\u003e gigantic raincloud covering the world dark. Quite the opposite, it is a pattern of clouds and clearings, floating over the lands. Trough this music a shadow play appears.
