Excerpts from their conversation are taken from a 2012 French TV interview. In it, Rashad and Spinn talked about the origins of footwork and it is this part of the conversation that is placed by Strawberry at the climax of the piece. The modern and futuristic footwork sound is combined here in a surprising way with the story of two Chicago legends. 'Variation' is the third number on the A-side, which calms the atmosphere\u003cspan class=\"bcTruncateMore\"\u003e after the extremely exciting and dynamic 'Dance\/Music'. We find ourselves in a dub-ambient space, watching the spectacular ethereal images shift. Sev has been a solid bridge between the Australian and UK electronic underground, as the dome behind the Archaic Vaults mix series, his own distribution channels and generally maintaining a close eye on our activities down under. A lazy turn-of-phrase would lead me to describe these tracks as “warehouse industrial” or some such, but I rarely have the desire to go to warehouses unless they’re abandoned and devoid of people so it’d be disingenuous to pretend that I know what I’m talking about. Regardless, the four tracks here are unrelentingly caustic, giving little space for reprieve even in cavernous rooms. Sev has been a solid bridge between the Australian and UK electronic underground, as the dome behind the Archaic Vaults mix series, his own distribution channels and generally maintaining a close eye on our activities down under. A lazy turn-of-phrase would lead me to describe these tracks as “warehouse industrial” or some such, but I rarely have the desire to go to warehouses unless they’re abandoned and devoid of people so it’d be disingenuous to pretend that I know what I’m talking about. Regardless, the four tracks here are unrelentingly caustic, giving little space for reprieve even in cavernous rooms.
