Tobiraインストアショーケースでも素晴らしいライブを披露してくれたアメリカ出身台湾在住のアンビエント作家Ryan J Raffaと、当店おなじみアンビエント作家Andrew WeathersによるデュオReign of Fernsが、2025年9月にWeathers主宰レーベルEditions Glomarから100部限定でリリースした共作CDrです。

フィールドレコーディングとパーカッション、エレクトロニクスによる物音コラージュ・ドローン3曲を収録。

"Music is connection, the anchor of my life, the anchor of my friend's lives. I follow it to find myself in quiet rooms and loud rooms, familiar and boring and surreal and filthy. There's not a place that Music Happens, but there's the people music happens with. I've never been in Ryan's studio in Taipei, but I know it from the video calls that we share to keep Reign of Ferns going. I gauge my tomorrow looking at the morning light coming in through his windows.

Last summer, my last summer "Texan," we spent some days together. We listened, sat on the patio once the evening got cool, truly the things that are worthwhile. My studio a tangle of cabling, knots of signal. Somewhere in the process I momentarily forgot that I'm left-handed and dislocated my shoulder taking a sledgehammer to a car door. All of that is in this music, like it always is.

Reign of Ferns music continues to shift, a constant presence in both of our lives, a tether across the pacific."
