"For Moloton’s ninth outing, we’re welcoming Orphan Ann with their debut LP ‘The Practice of Surrender’.

The duo, consisting of Sofia Al Rammal Sturdza (SARS, Född Död) and Anja Enerud (Masskultur) combine sharp, penetrating vocal chants with atonal drones, bleak samples and distorted drum machine patterns to create their own pitch-black take on synth music."

Of course it turned out completely different, but the recordings of these ‘hardware jams’ were very useful nonetheless, and form the main component of the collage that is Omval. I think the result has the organic quality of a performance, with a complexity that I could never achieve in a live set.
