"Circle Brosのアルバムは互いに自然な流れでつながっている傾向があり、『Wade』も例外ではない。本作の制作は、2021年にVrystaeteからリリースされた10インチ盤『Peaks/waves』とほぼ同時期に始まった。あのミニアルバムが2曲の長く漂うような楽曲で構成されていたのに対し、『Wade』はより短い曲形式に戻っているが、その長い探求曲にあった自由な要素はサウンドの中に残されている。

そのため、構成やサウンドのパレットの両面で、90年代から00年代のローファイやポスト・フォークの影響が、これまでのアルバムよりも明確に表れている。穏やかで集中力のある作品だ――今、私たち全員にとって必要なものだろう。"

"Circle Bros albums tend to flow into one another, and ‘Wade’ is no exception. Work on the record began around the same period as ‘Peaks/waves’, the 10” released on Vrystaete in 2021. While that mini‑album consisted of two long, drifting pieces, Wade returns to shorter song forms — keeping the freer elements of those longer explorations in the sound.

So, the influence of 90s/00s lo-fi and post-folk comes through more clearly than on previous albums, both in the structures and in the sound palette. A gentle and focused record — i guess that's something we can all use right now."
