The self titled track induces a sense of post-apocalyptic vertigo via hallucinatory scraps of voice, suspended synth tones and reverberating field recordings, connecting into the droney mystics of 'Dudukahar (Reed Prayer)'. Coming full circle, 'For Vinny' brings back the echoing percussion amidst hypnotic cello lines until it drifts off into the unknown. Most artists have passed through the label’s orbit - Tomutonttu, Kraus, Mik Quantius, Piia Rinne, Bromp Treb and others - gathered by curator Arttu Partinen (of Avarus and Mental Alaska)\u003cspan class=\"bcTruncateMore\"\u003e. His compass seems less genre than instinct. What you get isn’t a roster showcase but a temporary community assembled in digital files and carefully sequenced.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eListening feels a bit like Soulseeking a whole label catalogue: sketches next to fully formed pieces, noise dissolving into ambient drift, abstraction tipping into crooked melody, seriousness interrupted by strange joy. The sequencing trusts curiosity more than narrative.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAnd maybe that’s the real through-line of both this scene, Artsy Records and Arttu: not sonic consistency, but attitudinal consistency. Exploratory without snobbery. Personal without isolation.
