"Through minimalist composition and with the utmost attention to detail, AgainstMe is contributing a record on the Greek label that is fresh and efficient, maintaining his strong sonic identity to cement himself as a rising player in the global Techno scene with an undisputed ear for what really makes people move.
Record opener ‘Drama’ sets the tone for the release and channels groove, density and smart sound design in equal measure for maximum club impact.
Drum machine patterns building tension as the noisy percussive elements inject groove and dynamics in an elegant, reduced fashion, while a growling synth shifts in and out of view for added effect making the very most from very little.
Title track ‘Diagonal Prism’ is a stunning exercise in pure techno that places its emphasis on repetitive elements to great effect and frenetic, driven drum arrangement that serve to propel the track on towards its end.
On the flip, ‘4PM’ offers an expertly executed slice of pure peak time Techno, complete with driving rhythmic elements and crisp drum patterns for added character.
Record closer ‘Spasmoi’ is an effective club groover with dry drums and bouncing percussive elements, that offers intensity and rhythm all made possible by an artist in control. "
