Vinyl is only a matter of time. Whenever Modelbau plays a concert (all of which are recorded) preparations are made, and these are also recorded; sometimes these preparations can have the length of a concert, but they can also be single pieces of a few minutes. All these recordings are archived and whenever a release is prepared, the latest sessions are listened to again.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eSteffan de Turck mainly works with field recordings from different origins which are edited, layered and processed into sound collages. Since the early 2000s he has been creating, performing and releasing music under the name \"staplerfahrer\" and since 2020 he has switched to using his own name. \"I have known Frans de Waard (Modelbau, but also Kapotte Muziek, Beequeen, Korm Plastics, Freiband, Vital Weekly etc.) since the mid-nineties. I first met him when he was working at Staalplaat in Amsterdam, while I was writing a school report on the Staalplaat label and interviewed him in the store. We've kept in touch ever since; he reviewed my musical works and we shared the stage during performances at festivals and various other concerts. But other than a one-minute joint track on a compilation CD put together by Asuna in 2021, we've never really released any music together.
