"ウェブサイトfancymoon.comにおいて、CON本人は『Windmills』を『エレクトロ・コズミック・メタル・インダストリアル』と表現している。本作は33曲から構成され、連続した電子音楽の作品群となっている。このアルバムは、前作にあたる『III Kugeln』と同様の趣向で録音・演奏されており、『Sack』『Turbine』『Raumknoten』『Fenster』という4つの「ソロ・エレクトリック・ピース」で構成されている。FdWが『III Kugeln』のレビューで指摘したように、これはアンビエントでも、ダンス・ミュージックでも、ムジーク・コンクレートでも、即興演奏でもなく、その他思い浮かぶいかなるジャンルにも当てはまらない。この音楽は雰囲気があり、有機的だ。これは、鍵盤楽器に基づかないシュニッツラーの作品の優れた一例である。"

"On the website fancymoon.com, CON himself describes 'Windmills' as Electro Cosmic Metal Industrial. It comprises 33 tracks and represents a continuous body of electronic music. The album was recorded and performed in the same vein as 'III Kugeln', serving as its predecessor, and is made up of four “solo electric pieces”: Sack, Turbine, Raumknoten, and Fenster. As FdW noted in his review of 'III Kugeln', this is not ambient, not dance music, not musique concrète, not improvisation, nor any other term that comes to mind. The music is atmospheric and organic. It is an excellent example of Schnitzler’s work that is not based on keyboard instruments."
