"after creating, producing and manipulating hundreds of thousands of hours of audio/video over the past 20 years, Broken Machine Films has had its fair share of ups and downs. winners and losers. earhole/eyeball hits and misses. this 'DrEaMsCaPe / D E E P V A P E' collection chronicles those lost sound bits and pieces that didn't make 'the cut' for one reason or another, but have over time gained a momentum all their own after being revisited. layering accidents and blown out gear crashes. lovely cassette/VHS/vinyl finds that didn't quite fit the project it was meant for. the process Broken Machine Films presents... utilizes is both time consuming and tedious, but yields a much more vintage and honest sound. 'real' lofi. raw. and more true to vaporwaves most basic forms and heart. a few of these tracks were debuted on 91.5FM WPRK late last year, if you were lucky enough to catch them. this is the full effect. light a candle. hope you enjoy this journey in found and hand-altered sound."
