"Started in 2020, LEVEL OF EXISTENCE is the solo violin project of Canadian sound artist Alan Bloor (KNURL, PHOLDE, PYROX). It involves either bowed violin or violin with scrap metal. “Evils by Indirect Means” was recorded live, using scrap metal and bow. Alan has made a name for himself in the underground noise scene since the 1990s with his trademark aesthetic of producing unrelenting sounds that emanate from the unexpected, and LEVEL OF EXISTENCE absolutely carries that onward."
