"Multi-instrumentalist, DJ and sound artist Amanda Butterworth, aka Mücha, follows up her releases on Blank Editions, Misc.Works and Broken20 with a bold new album for Frequency Domain, four years in the making. Across seven tracks, Fall combines Amanda’s songwriting skills with her ongoing explorations in experimental vocal processing, taking the listener through an introspective journey of rising and falling emotions."

Artist statement:

“Fall evolved slowly over a four-year period - like a little space that I kept returning to while I worked on other ideas in between. There was a certain atmosphere to the initial tracks I’d made; the mood felt quite clear, first in a wisp-like way, but present nevertheless. There's a sort of urban British grey to the album - and the sense of melancholy that comes with that - with influences from bass music, post-punk, shoegaze, drone, ambient and even folk music. It was about marrying an introspective, dreamlike, almost automatic approach to songwriting with the directness of dance music, seeking out this relationship between the different types of music I love and letting that find its voice.”
