It does capture the feeling of looking out a window, and maybe because of that, as well as the more liberal use of live instrumentation, the album is very tethered to earth and more naturalistic than some of Andy’s previous work. There is still a vignette quality to the music, with different colors, shades and landscapes flowing by, but the songs feel coherent as longer pieces, like longer documents instead of disparate computer tabs open at once.

I love near the end of the song “The Reflecting Pool” when it cuts to a melancholy electric guitar chord change and then transitions into such a beautiful melody that reminds me of Pat Metheny doing the Chrono Trigger soundtrack. Honestly this album should be on ECM, it’s like the perfect contemporary fusion sound in my opinion."

Artist : Andy Loebs

Label : Orange Milk

cat no : OM 218

Release date : 27th August 2026

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0305/1637/9780/files/and_2f337334-9b01-45cd-836c-4a55a5a23c43.jpg?v=1790731136
