These tracks did not align with how I thought about the composition of a \"full length\" album at the time, so they ended up in this limited edition and have never been widely available. Thanks to the encouragement of some friends, I've come around to the idea of Vermilion actually being a particularly interesting title in the Kjostad discography, so I am making it available in a wider edition. This is probably the best I have ever gotten my various tape machines to sound, and the A-side features a variety of experiments in colliding degrading magnetic tape with environmental recordings. The B-side features several tracks that explore the use of organic sounds in the construction of more blistering, monolithic tracks, including two rather vague gestures to bands like Disclose, Confuse, and State Children.
